Ainsley O’Connell originally studied architecture at the University of Auckland, and returned to complete a Master of Fine Arts with First Class Honours at Elam in 2016.
Sitting within the field of contemporary sculpture, Ainsley’s work explores architectural and spatial concepts. Casting the usually ignored joints hidden within packaging reveals their complexities and recycles them into another alternative life.
She has held a number of solo exhibitions around Auckland.
Ainsley will have works in one of the eight houses on the Tour.
