Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Annie Smits Sandano has lived in New Zealand, Italy and until recently the United Kingdom. Annie completed her Fine Arts degree with Honours at Elam School of Fine Arts and works in a variety of mediums ranging from ceramics to painting, printmaking and hoop wall works.
Recent achievements include being a selected finalist in the Portage Ceramic Awards 2019, selected as a finalist in the Molly Morpeth Canaday Awards and the New Zealand Painting and Printmaking Award both in 2022.
Annie will have works in The Gallery, located in the Old Boys’ Pavilion.
