Immersed in bodies of water, is central to Cathy Carter’s art practice. Although the works are created in my studio on a computer, the field work interacting with bodies of water informs the making.
Shooting, assembling, layering and manipulating photographic images, these constructed works offer immersive experiences, sensuous and psychologically-compelling encounters within spaces of isolation and destabilization.
