Christian Nicolson has worked as a full-time artist for the past 20 years in Auckland. Initially studying design, he worked as an art director for several years in both New Zealand and London.
Christian loves to paint, sculpt, use photography, create installations, and make films. He has several works in the Wallace art collection and been a finalist in the Wallace awards seven times.
Christian has featured in three of Denis Robinsons’ art books including New Zealand’s favourite artists. He also recently made an award-winning feature film called This Giant Paper Mache Boulder Is Actually Really Heavy. Being creative is king.
Christian will have works in one of the eight houses on the Tour.
