Emma Zhang is a young potter who grew up in Shenzen, China. Since discovering clay as a medium through which she can express her creativity, Emma has quick become part of the local craft scene.
Emma’s work is inspired by the beauty of the New Zealand landscape, particularly the beaches close to her home in Warkworth, north of Auckland.
Mixing her own glazes, Emma is mindful of the earthy tones of sand and soil and the blue-green of the sea in all its moods.
Emma will have works in The Gallery, located in the Old Boys’ Pavilion.
