Finn Wilson is an Auckland Grammar Old Boy, attending from 2009 to 2013.
Finn has been creating in some way shape or form since day one. In the early days, his canvases were the margins in his Maths books, which then evolved to skate decks and surf boards, and today he creates on everything from recycled car doors to classic canvases, or shoot directly from spray can to wall.
Finn draws a lot of inspiration from street and skate culture, but always throws in his own little twist. He likes to play with things that don’t necessarily seem like they should go together, such as a lifelike tui over a graffiti background, or cartoon imagery layered over photographs. The unexpected is where the magic happens.
Finn will have works in one of the eight houses on the Tour.
