Hugo Mathias is an Auckland Grammar Old Boy, attending from 2003 to 2007.
New Zealand-born but currently living in Melbourne, Hugo is a multidisciplinary artist and his work explores everyday objects and our subjective associations with them.
Hugo received a Bachelor of Design in 2011 from Massey University in Wellington, and has exhibited his work both in New Zealand and around the world, including Australia, Hong Kong, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam and Japan. Two of his pieces currently reside in the James Wallace Arts Trust collection in New Zealand, and one piece in the Haengchon Art Museum collection in South Korea.
Hugo will have works in one of the eight houses on the Tour.
