Originally from the UK, Lucy Eglington has been living in New Zealand for 20+ years. Her work largely aims to comment on the human condition, using human and/or animal portraiture to represent the many ideas, states and moments we experience as we go through our lives.
Working mainly in oils, Lucy often uses renaissance and 18th-century techniques and imagery to create the sense of timelessness her work evokes.
Lucy lives in Auckland, where she works and teaches from her home-based studio. She has works in private and public collections including in NZ, UK, USA, Canada and Dubai.
Lucy enjoys working on commission and also sells limited edition prints of her work.
Lucy will have works in one of the eight houses on the Tour.
