Michelle McIver is an Auckland-based artist, who initially studied Fine Art at the Otago School of Art. She is inspired by light, luminosity, and translucency.
Her intention in her work is to create the illusion of light from within the painting. To achieve this effect, Michelle uses many overlaying tinted glazes. These help create the jewel-like hues in Michelle’s paintings.
Michelle will have works in one of the eight houses on the Tour.
