Susan’s artistic approach is a vibrant and dynamic one, where colour and texture serve as essential elements in expressing the energy within her artworks. When working on paper, Susan harnesses the texture of the medium to push the boundaries of fluid paint tolerance, resulting in an explosion of vivid colours, intricate patterns, and captivating shapes.
Since embarking on her artistic journey in 2006, Susan has been continuously self-teaching and remains committed to constant growth and learning. Over the years, her artistic style has evolved to encompass various mediums and genres. Drawing inspiration from a stormy sky, the world of fashion, and the mesmerizing beauty of autumn landscapes, her creations reflect a diverse range of influences. Based in the vibrant Wellington region, Susan has had the privilege of being represented in numerous galleries and events across New Zealand, Australia, Singapore and America.
