Tempest

Taking inspiration from The Great Wave off Kanagawa by Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai, with this work I wanted to capture the contrast between the tumult of the ocean and the serenity of the whale. I have also reduced the whale to its fundamental form, aiming for minimalist purity.
