Whenua Vessel

The work references the earth which we all connected to. We come from the earth and return to the earth. This piece is made from Raku clay and is fired using the Raku process which has connections to Japan since the 1600’s. Because of the low firing technique the item is fragile, not waterproof, so handle with care and clean with a soft damp cloth.
