Magnolia

Taken from a photo of a magnolia, in my neighbourhood, I have processed it as a cyanotype creating the age old Prussian blue edition.

After drying I bleach the blue piece in soda ash.

Once dry again I tone it in coffee to create the vintage colour.

I let it dry once more before painting with watercolour.

Once that has dried, I seal it with cold wax, to protect it from fading and dust, before framing it in an engraved antique frame.
